Something That Isn't Wood-Related

I've been pushing myself a little to do creative things outside of my course. This is harder than I expected: when I get home from the workshop, I am somewhat spent. But I miss my fibre-based crafts, and so when I saw this very cute hat kit on the Colinette stand at the Knitting and Stitching Show this year, I couldn't help myself. Something interesting, something small, something quick, something luxurious, something quirky... it just about ticked all requirements for a return-to-knitting project.

Here is the finished article, unfortunately with an iPhone camera so the colours aren't quite as warm and vibrant as they are in reality.
